Do you know what our world is in desire need of, today ? 

          It is peace. Our world has been splintered into factions because of race, caste, ethnicity and nationality. Intermittent wars and incessant civil strife have torn nations and communities apart. The International Day of Peace, observed on September 21, envisages a world community built on the foundations of lasting peace.

           The basis of a peaceful society is the economic and social development for all people whose rights are protected. This is why the UN member states adopted in 2015 the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that cover a broad range of issues, including poverty, hunger, health, education, climate change, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, environment and social justice.

          Without protecting justice and equality in a society, a peaceful society cannot exist. A peaceful society can promote a sustainable environment and the sustainable environment can foster peace, in turn.

          The International Day of Peace 2020 will be held on the theme “Shaping Peace Together.”

          Every year the theme of the important days is decided on the basis of the current situation and position of world in that as criteria. So, as per the condition of world this year, we celebrate the day, the world is invited to: spread compassion, kindness and hope in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic; and stand together with the UN against attempts to use the virus to promote discrimination or hatred.

        The world also celebrates the 72th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a milestone document in the history of human rights, this year.

Basically we meant to bring peace and solve many of our global issues by uniting and working on the united agenda in a benevolent way to serve our civilization to live, prosper, innovate and progress in every aspect.

We can take a very beautiful example from the science fictional movies about giving a perspective for peace between different species of different planets in the Star Trek movies. We should learn from them that how prosperously they have made federations to make the stable living between the different alien civilizations. But humans on this planet earth are still fighting with their own species to take over their land and rule. Now a days in the time of this world wide pandemic, we are hearing about  World War III, these powerful countries should understand that they should fight together to defeat the natural issues and sustain our planet for our future generation.
